National Business Development Manager - Lighting

WHO ARE WE REPRESENTING

RedDot Recruitment are currently representing an industry leader in exterior lighting, from luminaire design through to the production process our client are expanding there operations on a national level and seeking a Business Development Manager along with several Territory Managers across the state. WHATS INVOLVED IN THE ROLE
  • Achieving the sales and gross profit objectives set out in the Business Plan;
  • To be the commercial 'face' of the business;
  • Customer Service administration and the personnel within this department;
  • To be familiar with the Company's Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Achieving both financial and non-financial objectives as set out in the annual Business Plan;
  • National supply agreements with government e.g. Utilities and private end user e.g. Fast Food vendor;
  • Commercial matters, deal making, dispute resolution, product support, meeting customer expectations.
  • commercial responsibility for 'House' accounts means that some amount of travel to all of the major centres can be expected. 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
  • Strong administrative skills, the ability to prioritise, and an ability to 'get things done' are all essential qualities;
  • At least 3 years experience in sales in a product based selling environment will be expected; a background in the commercial lighting market and the ability to demonstrate sound relationships with key players in the industry will be highly regarded;
  • Relationship selling is central to the role, this person will need to develop strong ties with key accounts as well as our distributor personnel and the specifying community they support; an ability to be 'firm but fair' is an essential quality;
  • Computer skills required include familiarity with the Windows Office suite of products
  • An eye for detail and an uncompromising approach to quality is necessary to work within the company's quality system and its emerging 'zero defect' culture

REWARDS
  • Remuneration shall be by salary, bonus, superannuation and a company vehicle.
  • $60,0000 - $70,000 package 
  • Computer hardware and communication tools of choice will be provided; Qantas Club membership and corporate
    charge cards will be provided. The working day is conventional, Monday to Friday, with working hours influenced by business conditions and the need to achieve objectives.
